MELBOURNE MANDARIN TIMETABLE

TERM 4 (10 Weeks)
11 Oct - 19 Dec 2021

These timetables are for our public in-person classes and Zoom classes if you are from Melbourne or anywhere else in Victoria. You can learn Chinese Mandarin with us at several locations in Melbourne. You can study Chinese at Melbourne 's CBD (near the corner of Flinders Lane and Swanston Street), Hawthorn (next to Swinburne University), Box Hill (at the Town Hall) and Glen Waverley (walking distance from the Glen Shopping Centre).

Our Flinders Lane classes run during weeknights and weekends. Our Box Hill classes are conducted mainly during the weekends. The Hawthorn and Glen Waverley classes are held mainly during the weeknights.

Average class size is 6 to 8. Our teachers are all native speakers of Chinese but has the additional advantages of being based in Australia and specially trained in our Accelerated Learning Approach of teaching Chinese. Our popular Zoom Chinese classes have gained many positive reviews since the pandemic started last year. This is because all of our Chinese teachers are also trained in the unique features of Zoom.
Check out the reasons why you should consider us for your Chinese studies.

Once enrolled, our students are welcome to attend any other class if they need to miss their regular class, if such an alternate class is available at a different time of the week or at another location. In addition, some classes have been videotaped so that students may watch a lesson they have missed on YouTube. This gives our students many alternatives to not miss their Chinese lesson for that week. Better yet, students are also welome to repeat their Chinese lesson for that week, if they wish, at a different time or location.

The chinese character for birdAll of our Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) classes are held once per week for 10 weeks.
Our students will complete one Level of classes per Term.
We have a total of 4 Terms per year which means you can study up to 4 Levels in one year!
Each class is 2-hours - giving a total of 20 hours per Term (except for Level 1 Beginners classes which are of 11/2 hours duration).
We conduct Beginner classes in both Mandarin and Cantonese at the start of every Term, so you do not have to wait until the start of each calendar year to commence classes with us.

A key advantage of learning Chinese with us is the flexibility of us running concurrent Zoom classes throughout Australia. This means, for example, if you are attending our Beginners Mandarin class on a Wednesday evening, you are welcome to also attend the same Level class some other time in that week. So, you are not tied to a certain time or day for your classes then. Alternatively, if you feel that you need to repeat a certain lesson for whatever reason, you are also welcome to do so.

Did you know that we also offer private Chinese classses for companies or private tuition for individuals? Private Skype lessons are also available! We offer a variety of customised courses in both Mandarin and Cantonese. For more details.

I am enjoying the Mandarin classes for Level 6 to 15 classes immensely! Very interesting, and it's much more fun than what I did at university!

Chinese roadmap compass

I have travelled to China 4 times on business since I commenced the course this year, it has been a great help and a lot of fun speaking to the local Chinese. I will be travelling back probably another 3 times before Christmas and I feel well equipped to handle many situations. Although I cannot discuss business at this stage I can get by quite easily travelling, having minor chitchat and I am able to get what I need and be understood in many situations...mostly with a lot of laughing from them. For someone who has never attempted another language and I would hate to say how long it has been since I went to school but with this course and type of teaching, I have learnt so much! I am far from the best student and do not do enough after class practise but still I have learnt.
