Australasian Centre of Chinese Studies (ACCS)(School of Chinese Languages in Melbourne and Sydney)USEFUL STUFF FROM STUDENTS OF ACCSA template which has a grid of squares for practising writing Chinese characters is available here. This brilliant tool was developed by our branch in London (ECCS) to help our students revise Levels 1 and 2. Note that in the 'Learn' learning mode, please ignore the woman's pronunciation - it is computer generated and completely wrong. The man's pronunciation is correct though. Try the 'Scatter' learning mode - it's fun! Peter Barker have created flashcard files for Anki and Mnemosyne. Two have all the characters and words from lessons 1-19, and the other two just with the characters given in the writing sheets. The cards have either English on the front, with Chinese characters and pinyin on the back, or Chinese characters on the front with English and pinyin on the back. Anki can be downloaded from http://ankisrs.net/ Both programs remember which cards you have got correct, and show the incorrect ones more often. They are both free, and are also supported on some mobile phones. First, download the Anki or Mnemosyne programs (from abovementioned websites) or even both. Then download (right-click 'save linked file as') the: or/and: A great insight into Chinese Culture by Paul Cariello. Greg Colettte has created an EXCEL spreadsheet which gives an index of all the words learnt in Levels 1 and 2: Greg Hood developed some useful flashcards: Jacob Rhoden has created these flashcards for revision purposes: Download of flashcards for Level 1. Download of flashcards for Level 2.
